Update On Our Little Fighter Girl

by Aaron Marshall on August 22, 2011

We had the ultrasound this morning that we have been waiting to have. Unfortunately there was not any measurable pockets of amniotic fluid. However the baby is still growing and is at its expected measurements for 16week +5day baby. Her heartbeat is still consistent and strong, I was able to capture this at our last heartbeat listening session. Surely the sweetest sound to our ears…

Home for 6 weeks

We decided to bring Nichole home today. I just finished getting her comfy and she is taking a nap now. Though the hospital was comfortable and we felt safe there, it is hard to get uninterrupted sleep, there is a higher risk of infection, and Nichole really missed her kitties. We will be at home for 6 weeks and then we will be readmitted for the remainder of the pregnancy.

Hopeful Stories

Though emotionally taxed, we are both staying very positive and hopeful. Friends and family are sending us tons of success stories of families that had the exact same scenario with PROMs. We are also gleaning alot of wisdom from the stories as well.

Want to Bring a Meal?

Many have asked how they can support us during this time, and we thank all of you for your continued prayers, support, and notes of encouragement. Our friends have setup a website that allows people to sign-up to bring us meals. If you want to bring a meal you can go here.

Hello Gospel…

Though the road ahead is long and uncertain, we are both experiencing deep truths about God’s grace. He is very clearly showing us how and why to trust in Him no matter the outcome of the situation. Truly, that is His work in us. Contrary to what it might seem we are a worrisome, anxious and untrusting family. The hope, the trust, and this perseverence, has been a gift from God. He is showing up in our lives and we are deeply grateful for His provision.

Thank you all again. Your kind notes, flowers, and generous outpouring of prayer is truly awesome.

What sweet music to your ears to hear that strong heartbeat! It brought tears to my eyes just listening to it and I can only imagine what it must sound like to your ears. So happy you are able to come home to your kitties. Be still and rest and we will keep praying for you and your family soon to be 4! Love and miss you at work!
